Game 3 (Zerg / Xel’Naga Caverns)


Build order / plan
  • 12 drone for scout (4 player map)
  • 14 gas
  • 13 drone for scout (2 player map)
  • 14 pool
  • 15 lord
  • 16 drone
  • 100% pool -> queen
  • 18 2xlings
  • 20 drone
  •  Exp
  • 23 lord
  •  Expo pops -> overlord
  • 30ish evo + drones on gas
  • 40ish roach + lair + second gas

Pre game goal
Get a lot of drones early on and try to defend with spines, queens and speedlings. Then switch into mass roach/hydra, attack/pressure and get a 3rd up.

Post game analysis
The build went ok in early game, only I forgot a few overlords. Got my 3rd up and went for mass roaches because I forgot gas for hydras. Lost my 3rd 3 times but killed a good bunch of his roaches. Got eventually overrun by infestor + roaches with better upgrades.
